M U L L A duel of ideas

The weather of one's own mind

Ludwig Wittgenstein  vs  Annie Dillard

Wittgenstein said the limits of his language were the limits of his world. Dillard, in Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, kept a journal of weather as if the weather of her mind were a thing she could observe rather than be. Both ask: can you describe what is happening in your head precisely enough that you stop being inside it?

Describe the weather of your mind this morning in three sentences. No metaphors.

Whose side are you on?
